Besides live broadcasting of different key sport events from English Premier League, rugby, formula one racing, tennis, golf and ice hockey with 3 giant screens and 9 TV which provides you with various entertaining events, adding to the atmosphere, Champs Bar is delighted to announce the launch of the new Live Band featuring “Triad” and “Sweet Revenge”, bringing you the Rock ‘n Roll every Thursday night.
Possessing years of performing experience, “Triad” and “Sweet Revenge” will join together to present the excellent performances every Thursday which offers a repertoire of music to let you chill with friends or feel the buzz throughout the night. Together with thriving selections of beers , cocktails and chefs’ favorites such as Spare Ribs, Buffalo wings, Chicken tender, Fish and Chips and more, the weekly get-together live band ensures Champs Bar to be an ideal location to loosen your tie and wind down your tense life after a hard day’s work!
"Triad" is a three piece band that performs Original Blues based Hard Rock.
Tim Murphy: Vocals, Guitar, Songwriter
First gig was in 1976 as Bassist for a Top Forty band managed by Kingsland Talent Agency in Monroe, LA and Band Aid Entertainment, Baton Rouge, LA. Recorded an independent Country music album withlocal artist, Roy Cagle in 1978.Supplied a soundtrack for local Louisiana Tourist Video, "City of Lights."
Dallas, Texas 1980: Switching to guitar, Worked in a 50s revival band supporting recording artists such as Jewel Akins and the Coasters, ("Poison Ivy" "Charlie Brown") famous Elvis Impersonator, Johnny Harra (see "The Johnny Carson Show") Etc.
Los Angeles, CA 1989: Songwriter, Guitarist for "Criminal," headlining clubs such as "Doug Weston's Troubadour". One of Tim's songs from Criminal was later selected as the ending soundtrack for the Discovery Channel's reality TV series "Wing Nuts," in 2004. (http://www.motoart.com/email/march05) Los Angeles, CA 1992: Lead Guitarist for BMG recording artists "The New Orleans Nightcrawlers," managed by the Editor for LA's Music Connection Magazine, and sponsored by Mesa Boogie Amplifiers. Austin, Texas 1999: Tim formed and wrote all songs for a three-piece Rock power trio resulting in his first all original eighteen song CD. "Tim Murphy."
Gerry Rodrigues: Bass Guitar
As a teenager, Gerry was influenced by the songs and bands of the 60s. Learned to play the guitar and eventually the bass and keyboards as well. Gerry started his music career at the age of sixteen, and played with many local HK bands. Toured Canada in the 1970s and joining one of the most progressive rock bands in Hong Kong.
John Malcom Bucks: Drummer
Started drumming professionally in 1967 playing in Wan Chai for American Military on leave.
1968: John formed the "Celtics," which became the first Hong Kong band to perform along with local Filipinos in Wan Chai and TST.
1970-72: was performing in Singapore and Japan.
1973-75: Back in Hong Kong performing top venues at that time.
1975: Back on the road doing a tour of Canada.
1978: John took a break and went into Finance. Returned to Hong Kong in the 90s and has been performing since.

Possessing more than 30 years experience, Andy’s talent and professional has been proofed by receiving significant awards during the years.
1991: 2nd runner up in Carlsberg pop music festival 1991and the best guitarist as well as the champion in the Summer Pop Live in 1991.
1993: Champion in Carlsbery Pop Music Festival
2009: Champion in GBOB China
Benny Chow – Bass Guitar
Benny has been playing bass for decades and been recording movie sound tracks and live performing in various stages.
Robert Shum – Drummer
Robert was the post member of Jade. In 80’s, Robert has been to New York and back to Hong Kong in 2009 to establish Sweet Revenge. Sweet Revenge is now performing in China and Hong Kong frequently.
